About Breastfeeding
Breastfeeding is the healthiest and most natural thing
you can do for yourself and your baby. The American
Academy of Pediatrics recommends breastfeeding as the optimal method
for feeding infants because it promotes the best possible health, developmental,
and psychosocial outcomes for children. However, breastfeeding isn't always the easiest thing to do! We're here to help!

Private Lactation Consultations
A Mother’s Haven offers private consultations to new
mothers needing breastfeeding support and lactation assistance. Consultations are
provided by Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) and Lactation Educators.
Consultations include in-depth history, physical assessment and cover
the range of problems and challenges that can arise. Phone, in-store, and
in-home consultations are available by appointment.

Breastfeeding Support Group
A Mother’s Haven offers a breastfeeding support group
because we realize that for many women, breastfeeding can be challenging.
This group is for any moms who are nursing their baby and have questions,
need support, or just want the camaraderie of other mothers. Whether you're having latch issues, questions about pumping, or wanting to wean, this group is for you!
This group is facilitated by a Certified Lactation Consultant
or Educator, who has breastfed her own children and has years
of experience working with mothers and babies.
The Breastfeeding Support Group meets on Tuesdays at 10am. It is a drop-in class. Fee: $10.00.
